Dragon-Boating the Murray for the RCH
A team of 22 plus their support crew will set off from Yarrawonga on Saturday (Nov 3) at 6am, on a mission to set a new World Record while raising funds for the Royal Children's Hospital Neurology Department by paddling their Dragon Boat 600km along the Murray River.
This World Record attempt will see the crew travel in their Dragon Boat to Swan Hill, stopping at Strathmerton on Saturday Night and Moama on Sunday Night, before ending the adventure on Thursday, which will coincide with Guiness Book of World Records Day.
The crew are hoping to raise $200,000 to support the Neurology Department at Melbourne's RCH.
Boating for Brains Organisers Alex Elliott and Peter Christen spoke with 2QN's Anthony Thompson this week ahead of the mammoth task that lies ahead.
