Broader testing criteria

Anyone who believes they have the virus can contact the Hotline for an assessment

The criteria for COVID-19 testing has been broadened in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District.

Anyone who believes they may have contracted the virus can call the Murrumbidgee COVID-19 Hotline for a confidential over the phone assessment, between 7am and pm. The Hotline can be contacted on 1800 831 099.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are:
- fever
- sore throat
- dry cough
- shortness of breath

Symptoms will generally appear 3-4 days after exposure to the virus but can be up to 14 days later.

Members of the public are advised to minimise travel, increase personal awareness around hand hygiene and practical social distancing.

There have been no further cases of COVID-19 in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District since Sunday 12th April.

As of Wednesday April 15th, there were 44 confirmed cases and 27 people had recovered from the virus.
