Accident causes traffic chaos in Echuca's Ogilvie Avenue
A car accident has closed the westbound lanes of Echuca's Ogilvie Avenue.
Police and emergency services have blocked traffic after one car hit a power pole, which is being supported by a crane to stop it falling.
The road will remain closed until Powercor can stabilise the pole, with no official time given for that to happen.
Traffic is being diverted along Campaspe Esplanade and the Murray Valley Highway.
The accident happened about 1.30pm, when a car being driven out of Dobinson St is alleged to have failed to give way to a car being driven west along Ogilvie Avenue.
Two people were taken to Echuca Hospital, with no major injuries reported.
The east-bound lanes of traffic remain open and unimpeded.
