Students have marched down the main street demanding change
Students, teachers and community members are rallying in Echuca today as part of a Global Climate Strike.
Students and teachers have marched down Hare Street demanding action on climate change.
The youth-led demonstrations are being backed by adults who are accompanying students on their strike.
The Federal environment minister and member for Farrer Sussan Ley has responded to today's rallies.
"Thank you for caring about the future of the planet.
"Please don't believe that the Government doesn't care because we do.
"In terms of our proportion of global emissions, we are meeting out Paris targets - in fact, we're going to exceed them."
