Jarrod Lyle passed age 36
After a long battle with cancer, golfer Jarrod Lyle has passed away.
News.com.au has reported that at the end of July Lyle had moved to palliative care during his third battle with cancer. Lyle's acute myeloid leukemia had returned last year.
Lyle spent his last days at home with wife Briony and two daughters Lusi and Jemma, before passing peacefully on Wednesday August 8.
Wife Briony released a statement to reveal the heartbreaking news.
“It breaks my heart to tell everyone that Jarrod is no longer with us,” she said. “He passed away peacefully at 8.20pm last night having spent his final week in Torquay among his family and close friends".
“He (Jarrod) asked that I provide a simple message: `Thanks for your support, it meant the world. My time was short, but if I’ve helped people think and act on behalf of those families who suffer through cancer, hopefully it wasn’t wasted.’
Jarrod Lyle was an Australian professional golfer, born in his hometown of Shepparton. He passed away at age 36.
