A man has been left with critical injuries following a collision on Monday

A man is in a critical condition following a collision in Kyabram yesterday.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives were at the scene last night.

It is believed a truck and utility collided at the intersection of Peppertree Lane and White Road just before 10am on Monday 6 July.

The driver of the ute, a 63-year-old Eaglehawk man, was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.

His passenger, a 34-year-old Kangaroo Flat man, was also airlifted with serious injuries.

The sole occupant of the truck, a 41-year-old Kyabram man, was uninjured and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

The intersection remains closed and will be for some time while police process the scene.

Detectives are investigating the cause of the collision and urge anyone who witnessed it or with dash cam footage to come forward.
