Police hunting two youths after attempted break in at Deniliquin High School

Police are on the hunt for two youths after an attempted break in at Deniliquin High School's canteen at the weekend.

Security was alerted after the pair tried to gain entry to the canteen through a roller door.

Two people, described as between 11 and 13 years old, skinny with long hair and dark clothing, were seen running from the scene.

No damage was reported and nothing was taken

Man charged for assault in Deniliquin East

A Deniliquin man, 26, will face Deniliquin Local Court after being charged with intimidation, assault and assault causing actual bodily harm.

The man is alleged to have pushed his ex-partner, a 22-year-old Deniliquin woman, to the ground and then punched a 37-year-old Deniliquin man to the head, as they were walking home from a night out in Deniliquin's East about 12.20am Sunday.

The 37-year-old was hospitalised, receiving stitches for a wound to his head.

As well as facing charges, the man has also received an apprehened domestic violence order.

Toilet block vandalised in Waring Gardens\

Deniliquin Police are investigating after about 10 glass bricks were smashed at Deniliquin's Waring Gardens at the weekend.

The bricks were broken, along with light bollards and temporary fencing around a construction site, between 3.45pm Friday and 7.30am Saturday.

Deniliquin man allegedly drove two and a half times the legal limit

A 31-year-old Deniliquin man will face caught after being charged with mid-range drunk driving on Saturday morning.

Police stopped the man in Ballantine Crescent about 2.35am.

After failing a roadside breath test, he was taken to the Deniliquin Police Station, where he returned a reading of .120.

He was charged with mid-range drunk driving and lost his licence on the spot until he appears at Deniliquin Local Court.

Chainsaw stolen from Deniliquin farm

Police are on the hunt for a chainsaw, stolen from the shed of an Old Morago Rd farm property last week.

The chainsaw was taken between 8.30am and 4.30pm on June 26.

Investigations are continuing.

Trailer, tools taken from Moama property

Police are investigating after a trailer and a range of tools were taken from a Moama property last week.

The blue 7 by 4 trailer with cage was taken, along with a mountain bike, a welder, generator, tools, two portable fridges and a tool box were taken from the property.

The trailer was chained to a post on the 25-acre property, while the remainder of items were taken from a shed which was broken into and a caravan, which was located on the property.
