The Murray Region saw success at the weekend
The Murray region's tourism industry has celebrated an impressive weekend at the Regional Tourism Awards in Dubbo on Saturday.
Fourteen businesses from the region were named as finalists, with 11 of those going on to receive an award, with seven receiving gold and four receiving silver in their respective categories.
Rich River Golf Club was inducted into the Hall of Fame after winning gold in the Tourist Attractions category for three consecutive years - 2015, 2016 and 2018 (no awards were held in 2017).
Club President Peter Broek said the quality of their events and facilities helped their success in previous years.
"We bring close to 100,000 visitors into our region on an annual basis," he said.
"If you're going to measure effective tourism, it's how effective you are in bringing people to town."
